We are an Orlando based Web 2.0 company in search of a Lead Developer/CTO. This Lead Developer will be in charge of all technology and web development, receiving a vested equity stake in the company.

We have been in the collectibles industry for 15 years so we know the industry well. We quietly launched v1 beta and are 90% done with v2. We believe the company will be well positioned to seek a large amount of outside investment in the near future and achieve a large valuation within 3 years. This is really a no lose situation for someone interested in joining a startup with a lot of potential.

The Lead Developer will be expected to bring ideas and new ways of looking at problems and opportunities to work every day.
The Lead Developer may be responsible for a team of developers in the future in a management capacity.

Experience
This would be a very good fit for a recent grad/current college student or someone with experience in the start-up world who is looking at moving to an exciting, fun, and fast moving company with huge upside.
This is a very ambitious site, so only those that have expert knowledge of Web 2.0 programming technologies are encouraged to apply.
Graduate students are also strongly encouraged to apply.
Interests in the world of collectibles (we are starting in the toy collectibles industry first, and then moving to other industries shortly afterwards). If you have a passion for collecting something, then you would be a perfect fit.

What categories do you want added to CollectionStation?
Posted on June 15, 2009 at 03:56 PM
I am curious to know what categories would you like to have us add? Even though every user has the power to add categories yourself, we know everyone does not have a lot of time to devote to adding categories (however in v2, it is easier/quicker). So just let us know what you would like added next.

New York Toy Fair & v2 Update
Posted on February 19, 2009 at 11:03 AM
We have been at the New York Toy Fair and what a world of collectibles! We met with a number of companies and established more relationships as we prepare to launch v2 beta. What does this mean? It means more collectibles will be added to CollectionStation for you to Catalog, Showcase, Value, Sell, and Trade! Once v2 launches, there will be a major marketing program in place where we expect to truely see our vision come to life. More to come soon...

CollectionStation (beta) v2 Coming Soon
Posted on October 09, 2008 at 12:17 AM
Since our soft beta launch, we discovered some issues (hence beta) and have been hard at work on the next version (v2). The biggest change will be addressing the slow load time on some of the collectibles category pages as we impletement a caching system and have optimized the amount of queries being called. Another words, faster loading of pages. Most of the changes are behind the scenes; however, there are a few front-end changes. The one we are most excited about is a much faster and easier way to catalog your collectibles. We'll reveal more details as the time nears.
