Because CollectionStation relies heavily on user-generated content (including item listings, catalog entries, valuations, photos, and discussions), these Community Standards define what is allowed, what is not, and how moderation is handled.
1. Our Philosophy
CollectionStation is built on three principles:

We aim to moderate responsibly and consistently, but due to the scale and nature of user-generated content, moderation is best-effort, not guaranteed.

3. Acceptable Content
You are encouraged to:
- Add and maintain accurate collectible data
- Share clear, honest photos of items
- Provide fair and realistic valuations
- Engage in respectful discussions
- Help improve the catalog by correcting errors
- Credit sources when applicable
4. Prohibited Content
4.1 Fraud, Misrepresentation, and Deceptive Practices
You may not:
- List counterfeit or fake collectibles as authentic
- Misrepresent item condition, rarity, or origin
- Manipulate pricing or valuation data intentionally
- Use misleading photos without disclosure
- Engage in scams, phishing, or deceptive transactions
4.2 Intellectual Property Violations
You may not:
- Upload content you do not have rights to use
- Copy proprietary databases or catalogs without permission
- Impersonate brands, manufacturers, or official entities
CollectionStation does not claim affiliation with brands unless explicitly stated.
Copyright Reporting: If you believe content on CollectionStation infringes your copyright, you may submit a takedown request in accordance with our DMCA / Copyright Takedown Policy. We respond to properly submitted notices and may remove or disable access to allegedly infringing content.
4.3 Unsafe or Illegal Items
You may not list or promote:
- Illegal items
- Stolen goods
- Regulated or restricted items where prohibited by law
- Any content that violates applicable laws
4.4 Harmful or Abusive Behavior
You may not:
- Harass, threaten, or bully other users
- Use hate speech or discriminatory language
- Engage in targeted attacks or trolling
- Post intentionally disruptive content
4.5 Spam and Manipulation
You may not:
- Post repetitive or irrelevant content
- Use bots or automation to manipulate listings or engagement
- Promote unrelated products or services excessively
- Attempt to game search, ranking, or valuation systems
4.6 Inappropriate Content
You may not post:
- Explicit or adult content
- Violent or graphic imagery unrelated to collectibles
- Content inappropriate for a general audience
5. Catalog and Data Integrity Rules
Because CollectionStation includes a shared collectible database:
- Entries must be factually accurate to the best of your knowledge
- Do not create duplicate items intentionally
- Do not alter data maliciously
- Clearly distinguish between official releases, variants, and custom items
We reserve the right to:
- Edit or remove inaccurate data
- Merge duplicate entries
- Override user-submitted values where necessary
6. Marketplace Conduct
When buying, selling, or trading:
- Be honest about item condition and authenticity
- Ship items as described and on time
- Communicate clearly
- Resolve disputes in good faith
CollectionStation is not a party to transactions between users.
7. Moderation Approach
We use a combination of:
- User reports
- Automated systems
- Manual review
7.1 Best-Effort Moderation
We strive to review and act on content, but:
- Not all content is reviewed before publication
- We cannot guarantee immediate removal
- Some cases require investigation

We may update these standards at any time. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
